The Navigators
The Latest from Jack and Cynthia
We feel privileged to be asked to minister, we are honored that the Lord continues to give us physical and spiritual strength needed to travel and share, and we are blessed that you are willing to pray and support us.
We are memorizing the verses on wisdom found in James 3:17 - But the wisdom that comes from heaven if first all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no partiality and is always sincere. We would appreciate you praying this verse for us-especially gentle at all times.
We continue to be involved in the lives of very special couples here in Tucson. They keep us young and encouraged by their desire to grow in Christ.
With much love,
Cynthia and Jack Heald - The Navigators
2 Cor 9:6-15

From Jack and Cynthia:
Our mission is to invest the scriptures deeply into the lives of men and women so that they can experience all of the all of the blessings God has for them and that they in turn would invest their lives in teaching others. Discipleship is life to life and it is spiritual multiplication that yields fruit that only God can give.
Cynthia and I met in college and 3 years later were married . We just celebrated our 46th anniversary! We have 4 married children and 8 grandchildren. God has more than one way to multiply.
We came to a saving faith in Christ thru the influence of some business couples. They demonstrated by their life and teaching what discipleship was all about. As we made several moves in my veterinary practice we sought others to build into us and had a desire to help others grow too. God was very gracious to send the right people in answer to our prayers. I was in practice as a veterinarian for 16 years, enjoyed every minute of it but God gave us a desire to give more time to invest into the word of God and the lives of people. We gave up “pets for people” and came on staff of the Navigators in 1976.
We moved to San Antonio , Texas and later to Tucson , Arizona where we have lived for 29 years. We have worked with military, college and professional athletes, and people in business. From this experience we have written studies on marriage and Cynthia has written on topics that have encouraged women all over the world .”Becoming A Woman Of Excellence” was her first bible study. It was written from her personal study of Ruth.
Thanks for your prayers in advance for :
1. Continued spiritual and physical strength to serve--- we travel 50% of the time to far away places with strange sounding names—to be with great people.
2. Wisdom for discipling couples and singles.
3. Boldness in evangelism, a heart for prayer and intimacy with the Lord
4. Finances with contentment—not complacency.
5. Safety in travel -- in the air and by car.
We are blessed that you have taken the time to read this and we hope it has encouraged you to trust God more.
